How do I forward my WCU email to another email account? | Print |

West Chester University sends all important notifications including billing information, course status (e.g., drop for failure to pay), graduation details and other information to students' WCU email accounts.  We are aware, of course, that many MBA students would prefer to receive information through a different email address.  Below we explain how messages sent to your WCU email account can be forwarded to another account.

Step 1: Access your WCU Webmail account from the WCU Home page found under the Information Resources section:

 

 

Step 2: On the first Webmail screen click on Webmail Login and enter your login information.  If you have never logged in to your WCU email account before you will need to do so.  Follow the on-screen instructions.  If your password has expired you will need to reset by following on-screen instructions for doing so.


Step 3: Once inside of your Webmail account look to the lower left-hand corner and click on the Rules button:


Step 4: On the Rules page on the upper right click on New:


Step 5: In the dialogue box enter a Rule Name at the top.  At the bottom in the “Then” section click on “Forward it to” and then enter the email address to which you want your WCU email forwarded.  (DO NOT FILL IN ANYTHING UNDER THE “WHEN A MESSAGE ARRIVES” SECTION.)

Step 6: At the top of the dialogue box click on “Save and Close.”

All emails sent to your WCU email should now be forwarded.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU REPLY TO AN EMAIL FORWARDED TO ANOTHER ACCOUNT THE RETURN ADDRESS WILL STILL BE THE WCU ACCOUNT AND NOT THE EMAIL OF THE FORWARDED ACCOUNT.  YOU WOULD NEED TO CHANGE THE “FROM” LINE IN ORDER TO CHANGE THIS RETURN ADDRESS TO THAT OF THE FORWARDED ACCOUNT.
