Compared to many graduate schools, the costs for attending West Chester University is a bargain! Because we are a state institution, tuition and fees for the graduate program are among the lowest in the Philadelphia area. Even out-of-state tuition is extremely competitive compared to other schools.

For in-state residents the 2010-11 academic year costs for either an In-Class or an Online course are as follows:
-
tuition per 3 credit course - $1,161
-
basic fees per 3 credit course - $116
-
total cost per 3 credit course (excluding instructional technology fee*) - $1,277
Students who are non-Pennsylvania residents are subject to a higher rate. For out-of-state students the 2010-11 academic year costs for an Online course are as follows:
-
tuition per 3 credit course - $1,184
-
basic fees per 3 credit course - $118
-
total cost per 3 credit course (excluding technology fee*) - $1,302
For out-of-state students the 2010-11 academic year costs for an In-Class course are as follows:
-
tuition per 3 credit course - $1,857
-
basic fees per 3 credit course - $186
-
total cost per 3 credit course (excluding technology fee*) - $2,043
* In addition to basic fees in-state residents pay a $68 instructional technology fee per term and out-of-state residents pay a $93 instructional fee per term.
(Note: Tuition and fees are subject to change through the course of the program. Obviously students will have other costs such as books which are not included in the figures shown above. Students will also experiences cost associated with the Residency Seminar requirement. For some, this may include travel and accomadations.)
